Train Simulator 2020 - Class 483 Re-Skin, 2017-2020 Condition
The texture files contained in this download will provide a more accurate representation of the Class 483 fleet in 2020. This re-skin will not work if you do not own the Island Line route addon, which is available here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/24021/Train_Simulator_Isle_of_Wight_Route_AddOn/
The re-skin is not compatible with the 1938 Tube Stock included in the London Transport Heritage addon.

- A lighter, more accurate, shade of red.
- Cream window frames as per the real units.
- Post-2017 ‘Island Line’ Logo (Copyright: South Western Railway)
- Altered shade of yellow for front panels.
- Current line maps shown on exterior (but not yet interior) models.
- Attempt to represent the weathering often seen on the body-sides and roof of the units.

Class 483 Printable Card Kits
Kindly prepared by Street Level Models (https://www.cdc-design.net/); A free, downloadable and printable kit to build a model of a Class 483 car to suit 00 gauge model railways. It is recommended that the kit is either printed onto card, or printed onto paper which is then glued firmly onto card. We recommend that you use some thicker card to form the floor and chassis, or better still some reasonably thick plasticard or mounting board. It is possible to make the car run on 00 gauge track by substituting the card bogies for working ones with either plastic or metal wheels. In this instance it is essential that either thick plasticard or mounting board is used to form the chassis.
We hope that this helps to pass a few hours. The distinctive domed section of the roof is quite fiddly to assemble, but not impossible and a passable, if basic, model should result. Enjoy!

London Transport Font
'Railway' is an open-source version of the famous 'Johnston Sans' font commissioned by the Underground Group in 1916, still in use (in a modified form) as 'Johnston 100' by TfL to this day. 'Railway' was created by Greg Fleming and Justin Howes in 1994 as a digitised form of Johnston's original proofs and is available to download for free on several websites. The font has also been used for all text on this website.
