Introducing the ‘38 Club…
The London Transport Traction Group is pushing on with the restoration of 483006 and you may very well have seen images of the progress made since it arrived at Cynheidre in October 2021. Unit 483008 has joined its former Ryde stablemate at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway and together these two units offer a very exciting project to preserve both London Transport and Isle of Wight railway heritage. But this doesn't come cheap of course.
The group has to pay for the siding space it uses first and then there is the cost of materials and supplies that will be used to further the ongoing restoration work. The group needs to have an income of over £350 per calendar month to cover its expenses and keep both the units safe and continue to make progress in bringing them back to life.
To find this money the LTTG needs to recruit a team of donors, our top supporters; our lifeblood. We need 38 of you to donate £10 every calendar month by standing order direct to our account. This is why we have launched the '38 Club, to ensure that our basic costs are met and that our forward momentum may be continued.

What's in it for you?
In return for your regular monthly contribution we will reward you with: • Membership of the London Transport Traction Group for as long as you contribute. (no need to join separately and no renewal notices to worry about) • An item of 'exclusive' merchandise sent to you at the end of each year of contribution. (This will be changed each year and will be something not available in our group store) • A personalised 15% discount code on regular stock from the LTTG online store. • A personalised 15% discount code on products from CDC Design. (This business makes a range of 4mm/ft scale kits for predominantly London-based prototypes) • Invitation to a special day open only to '38 Club members. What's in it for us? The LTTG benefits from your regular contribution as it gives us much needed income. As mentioned, the group needs over £350 each month just to pay its regular bills, before we even start to restore both of our units. |
